Style House-Coastal Inspired Living

On this second edition of Style House
I would like to introduce you to my sister Sue & her family's home

Remsenburg is a quaint & historic town harbored on the coast of eastern Long Island.
It is considered to be an exclusive area nestled in the Southampton Hamlet.
It's proximity to the ocean, bay and beaches makes this area a desirable for summer and year round residents.

If you stroll down their Main St.
you will find beautiful historic homes, tons of cedar shake
&
 an abundance of privet.
Remsenburg is a little bit of country in
 "The Hamptons,"
it is relaxed and possesses a serene quality with it's
 undisturbed and spacious surroundings.

My sister and her husband
have begun to renovate their 17 year old home in more of a
coastal style this time around.
My sister's inspiration for the remodel of her kitchen & living room was
one of her all time favorite movies.

I am sure most of you know this movie
&
the stunning decor of her(Diane Keaton's character-Erica Barry)
Amagansett beach house,
but if you would like a refresher click here.

  2. Your sister has a beautiful house, Jen. Love the story about the piano...I'm assuming that's the same one that was in your house growing up?

  3. Your sister's home is lovely and so airy. The kitchen is dreamy. I love the story behind the piano and can only imagine the anticipation the family had as they waited for it to come home to them.
