Hi friends!
I hope you all had an awesome weekend:).
A huge thanks to Kelly, from the Lily Pad Cottage
for doing Friday's guest feature & for being a part of Style House!
We had tons of fun this weekend,
and as with most weekend,
it went by too fast!
On Saturday we had an exciting morning at the
Derby Car Race with my son Shane!
I think I was more EXCITED than he was:).
And on Sunday I had a slow and peaceful morning with my boys and hubby
and enjoyed a very delicious breakfast together:).
Don't you LOVE those kind of mornings?
I also spent some time(alone:)) getting started on this project.
Yes, you guessed it kitchen curtains.
My windows in my kitchen have been bare now going on 2 years.
For a person obsessed with fabric, that is TOO long:).
But.... being busy with other projects and an outgoing toddler:),
I let it go.
This is my before shot,
nothing wrong but I knew a little linen would soften the window.
The only problem was how???
This was what I was dealing with,
a. cabinets on both sides
b. molding on top that had an 8" return
c. a HUGE bay inset.
So I bought a metal shower tension rod
and painted it cream to match my wood rods in my dining room.
Then made simple rod pocket cafe curtains & added pom-pom fringe to the bottom.
My Sage that I am trying to rehabilitate:).
Chalkboard labels,
that I will share more about making next week.
I love lemons, in everything!
Also, makes for great pop of color,
especially in the winter:).
it is Sakari/ Fresco.
I am going to go ahead and apologize for the lighting:).
See, we have views and natural light in every single room
but....
THE KITCHEN:(.
So when I try to photograph,
the lighting isn't great, to say the least:).
And as you can see my view is of my lovely garage.
There are worse things to look at, right???
Although I had to work out a few kinks,
I do love how the curatins turned out:).
