Hi everyone!
I hope you all had a nice weekend.
We had lots of fun,
we headed to Fire Island to celebrate a friend's 40th,
spent the better part of both days outside with the boys,
& finally snapped some photos of
my dining room.
My dining room has always been my favorite part of the house.
The large windows that flank 2 sides gives breathtaking views of the bay and
the barrier island of Dune Rd, Long Island,NY.
It is light, bright and full of charm & character,
it was defiantly LOVE at first sight.
The goal for this room was to work with the pieces I had
and to create a room that was
pretty & practical,
on a BUDGET.
The bigger spends were
the built-ins, linen drapes and petite buffet.
I slipcovered my dining chairs,
painted my existing bench with a french grainsack stripe,
reused my table,
found chairs in the trash
and collected most of my accessories
from thrift stores, tag & estate sales
and of course a few things from Home Goods.
I mixed old with new,
combined styles and textures
& brought balance to the space by repeating the
creams & whites.
