And those who try it LOVE it.
It's expensive so before I bought it I thought I would try a
DIY chalk paint recipe first.
Make sure you dissolve the plaster of paris in very hot water first,
the first time I rushed & did not follow the directions, it was clumpy.
I made the diy chalk paint in cream and used it to paint a vintage liquor cart
& my dark stained dining room bench.
I apologize for not having a better before shot of the bench.
I am sure I am not alone in this,
but as a mom of a 2 yr old when I miraculously
get time to do a project like this
I often forget to take the before pics.
The Vintage Liquor Cabinet Before
The Cabinet After
My Dining Room Bench Before
The Dining Bench After
Like I said I do have a 2 yr old:).
I did really like the DIY chalk paint(it was a little watery, maybe a tiny bit less H20.)
However, last night I bit the bullet & bought it.
I have a few big projects & wanted to try it.
I ordered the "French Linen."
It is a beautiful color & I am so excited to try it,
I will definitely keep you posted.

I've used the DIY recipe for chalk paint several times but have to really sand to get the grit of the plaster of paris off the piece. Just wonder if this is an issue for everyone or am I doing something wrong?
